The Bird Feed

Privacy

The Bird Feed is a personal project run by Morgan Bird. It lists public events in the Twin Cities. You can use all of it without an account; signing in is only for saving shows, rating them and reporting mistakes. This page says what is collected, why, and who else handles it.

Without an account

With an account

Sign-in is handled by Clerk. When you sign in with Google, Clerk receives your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and nothing else: no access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar or files. Clerk keeps your account details; The Bird Feed's own database stores only:

This is used only to show you your saved shows and, later, to recommend events. Reports are used to fix listings, and open reports, including their notes, are shown on the public Data page without saying who sent them. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising. Information received from Google is used in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Keeping and deleting

Your data is kept while you have an account. To delete your account and everything stored for it, or to ask what we hold about you, email morgan.bird@gmail.com. Deleting the account removes your saves, ratings, notes and reports from our database, and your account from Clerk.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and its date changed. Questions go to the same address: morgan.bird@gmail.com.
